Ongoing Project

Somewhere between noise and silence

This project is built on a generative motion system dictated by the physics of sound. By simulating a 1Hz longitudinal wave (the way sound compresses and travels through the air), physical equations are used to drive the design.

The result is a dynamic visual map of acoustic energy.

This procedural system is fully responsive, allowing the branding to seamlessly adapt to any screen size or format without losing its mathematical precision.

Color treatment derived from PPPANIK’s TD patch.

After Malaria, explores lessons from successful malaria cessation in unexpected places.

The identity draws on Cyprus’s history of mosquito control at early life stages, expressed through a trailing comma that resembles larvae and pupae while setting a conversational tone.

A monospaced typeface references equality through uniform character spacing. A cyan accent adds lightness to the established palette. The minimal website design leaves room for animated commas, drifting like early-stage mosquitoes, reinforcing the project’s core narrative.

Kartzin [καρσ̌ί / karşı] is a Cypriot concept of positioning, encounter, and dialogue.

The Kartzin SEA Lab is a non-commercial space for socially engaged arts, welcoming emerging artists & cultural practitioners to experiment, present, and provoke dialogue beyond institutional boundaries.
